Saturday, April 4th - Cooper River Bridge Run
This famous Charleston race begins at 8:00am in Mount Pleasant and passes over the newly constructed Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge and offers incredible views of historic downtown Charleston. Entry is $30 and includes a tee shirt. Don't miss out! Register at http://www.bridgerun.com.
Sunday, April 5th 2009 - Low Country Cajun Festival
Visit James Island County Park for some incredible Louisiana cookin' and boot stompin' music! Local Charleston chefs will be at their best serving a variety of authentic Cajun and Creole recipes. Combine that with all day kids activities and Zydeco music, and you won't want to leave.
April 17th-19th - East Coast Canoe and Kayak Festival
The East Coast Canoe & Kayak Festival will include lectures, on- water classes, and demonstrations directed to both the novice and the experienced paddler. As many as 40 different commercial exhibitors will be on hand to let you demo their gear and purchase it, if you desire. Located at James Island County Park.
May 9th - Salsa Under the Stars
Head out to Folly Beach Pier for a night of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Reggaeton music. Can't dance...don't worry, I can't either, and I'll be there. How often do you get to learn a few moves on the beach, under the stars?

May 22-June 7 - Spoleto Festival USA
For 17 days and nights each spring beginning the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, Spoleto Festival USA fills Charleston, South Carolina's historic theaters, churches and outdoor spaces with over 100 performances by renowned artists as well as emerging performers in disciplines ranging from opera, theater, music theater, dance, and chamber, symphonic, choral, and jazz music, as well as the visual arts.

This marlin and sailfish event is part of the Governor's Cup Billfishing Series. Based out of Charleston City Marina.
September 20th - Kiawah Island Triathlon
